DIRECTIONS

Directions to Ayr & District Model Flyers flying site. Coming from Ayr to Maybole on the A77. On entering Maybole and continuing along Cassillis road towards the town centre take the second turning on the right and turn onto Culzean road. Follow the road up to the top of the hill and turn left at the junction onto Culzean road. Continue along this road and after the train station turn right onto Cargill road then left onto Garden Rose Path road. Go straight on up the hill out of Maybole and continue along this road to the crossroads. At the crossroads go straight on and continue on the single-track road for approximately a mile up the hill. You will come to two gates (fourth set of gates on the left side of the road) where you will see the No Parking sign on the gate. Enter and CLOSE this gate where the old quarry road track is and continue up the hill this will bring you to another gate. Enter and CLOSE this gate and our Howmoore flying site is at the field on the right below the old quarry and cottage. Coming from Kirkoswald to Maybole on the A77. On entering Maybole and continuing along Kirkoswald road and onto Whitehall road towards the town centre take the third turning on the left and turn onto Carrick Street. Follow the street up to the top of the hill and turn right then left. At the junction on Culzean road continue over this road and onto Cargill road. Follow the directions as above from Cargill road.
